Things To Know This Shabbat

v      Welcome Dr. Elie Kranzler to our shul for a Shabbat of song.  Please remember to return to shul after Dinner on Friday night for an evening of Song.

v      In addition to Dr. Kranzler, we will be joined by the 3 young men and 4 young women who participated in Torah Tours over Simchat Torah. I'm sure that many of you have remember the ruach and enthusiasm that they brought to the shul on Yom Tov, and we're looking forward to having them join us again. Thank you to the Agress and Garfunkel families for hosting our guests.

v      Mazal Tov to this year’s 30th Anniversary Dinner honorees: Hilda a”h & Richard Aarenau, Edith & Paul Cooper, Margo & Norman Greenstein, Irene & Howie Komet, Eita & Richard Latkin, Hanna & Jacob a”h Lewinson, Esther & Nathan a”h Miller, Sandy & Jay Rothschild and Sarah & Henry Stanger.

v      A woman’s bracelet was found in the shul.  Please contact Arnie if it is yours.

v      Daylight savings time begins on Saturday night.  Move your clocks ahead one hour after coming home from the shul dinner.

v      Lippman Bodoff will be giving a lecture at Temple Beth Sholom, March 13th at 8:00 pm on the Akeidah.

v      The Yavneh Yachad Shabbaton will take place next weekend on Friday March 14th and Shabbat March 15th. We will be hosting the Yachad children and their chaperones and the Yavneh eighth grade students.  We are looking for housing volunteers for our guests.  Please contact Hazkiel Kor to volunteer your home for this most worthwhile event.  Hazkiel can be reached at 1-888-567-2663 or via e-mail, hazkiel.kor@paetec.com. Sponsorships for Kiddush and Seudah Shlishit are available at the following amounts: YACHAD $22; OHEV YACHAD  $36; YAVNEH $67; YAVNEH V’YACHAD $95 and SUMMER & KIDDUSH for YACHAD = $136 - where $100 will be designated for sending a Yachad member to camp and $36 will help sponsor Kiddush.    Our goal is to reach $4000 to sponsor a summer program for one month at Camp.  60% of the shul has already contributed… have you? Help us send one child to camp for the summer.

v      We need volunteers to drive kids to their hosts’ homes at 4:30 p.m. for the Yachad Shabbaton.  To volunteer, contact either Hazkiel Kor or Ben Lang.

v      Mrs. Jordana Baruchov, faculty member at Yavneh, will be giving a guest lecture at 4:00 p.m. at the shul during the Yachad Shabbaton to those that are interested.  Her topic: "Is G-d Judgemental?" All are invited for an interesting discussion.

v      OU Pesach books are available in the Shul lobby

v      Please keep Gil Adler's safety in the Israeli army in mind when you light your Shabbat candles.

v      Please daven for the soldiers: Gilad (ben Aviva) Shalit, Ehud (ben Malka) Goldwasser and Eldad (ben Tova) Regev.

v      The shul has Siddurim & Machzorim ($36) and Chumashim ($54) available to be donated.  Please contact Eli Greenbaum for details
