There’s a chill in the air, but that means Chanukah’s almost here! Let’s celebrate with our second Ahavat Achim youth GOGO event – a Give One, Get One – kinder event! As with the kinder candy GOGO event, we would love this Chanukah gift GOGO event to provide a personal point of connection between our children during these distant Covid times. For this event, we are adding a chesed opportunity to donate a gift to a charity for children in need.

Bergen County gift donation opportunity: Annual Bergen County Chanukah Toy Drive

Monday, Nov 16th to Sunday, Nov 29th.

We are collecting new and unwrapped toys and gifts for children and young adults going through trying times. Please drop off your donations at Ahavat Achim 18-25 Saddle River Rd. from now until Sunday, November 29th. The Bergen County Toy Drive is a great collaborative effort across many Bergen County Jewish Schools, Synagogues and Temples and donates to over 20 different charity organizations. Your donations will help us share the excitement of Chanukah with thousands of children and young adults. This is a great opportunity to involve your children in the mitzvah of tzedakah!

Who: Ahavat Achim youth (0-6th grade)
What: Chanukah gift GOGO event (no more than $10) and gift donation
Where: A Covid-responsible visit coordinated with your kinder share assigned buddy
When: November 29th; recommended time 1-3pm
